Ismael Condoy, known as Condoii, is an Italian-Ecuadorian sound artist and DJ who transforms the world of electronic music through a unique journey between Andean and Afro-descent sounds. In 2020, he graduated in Electronic Music from the Conservatory of Milan, where he curated an experimental journey that fuses his childhood roots with the most modern and global sounds.
His research focuses on the musical influences of his South American origins, exploring the deep connections between indigenous and neo-tribalist sonorities. Through his artistic practice, Condoii creates a bridge between different cultures by paying attention to the crossroads of encounters and exchanges resulting from migrations.
Member of the Kirykou collective and co-founder of Doña Valentina (an independent label dedicated to emerging global clubbing sounds based in Milan), Condoii is also an organiser of multifaceted cultural events. His efforts promote multiculturalism and celebrate contemporaneity, reflecting the beauty of cultural diversity.
Active in various artistic residencies such as Milano Mediterranea, Casa degli Artisti, Zona K, and Periferico Festival, Condoii has also participated in Zero.eu's renowned Hyperlocal Festival and Drop City with Hundebiss.
Condoii's mixes are musical testimonies that explore South America, Africa, and the electronic hybridisations of the various diasporas around the world. Since 2020, together with the Kirykou collective and Doña Valentina, he has been a resident on Radio Raheem, one of Italy's most important web radio stations, helping to spread his cultural vision.
Thanks to the support of other artists, Condoii has taken his music and mixes to various venues in Milan and other cities such as Rome, Modena, Parma, Bergamo, Quito (EC), London (UK), Lausanne (CH), leaving his mark in various geographical areas. His artistic practice is not just a sound experience, but a journey that aims to broaden the aesthetics of the danceable.
