Rocío Bolaños was born in El Salvador and has been living in Busto Arsizio (Italy) since 2009. She is a foreign language teacher and freelance translator. She collaborated in the organisation of cultural events in Italy such as the International Poetry Festival in Milan, Milano Latin Festival for the Consulate of El Salvador. She published poems and translations in the collective Tempi DiVersi, Grito de Mujer México, Carta di Altino, Samuele Editore, New York Poetry Review, among others. She edited the poetry anthology El Desarraigo. 18 poetas transfronterizos Nautilus Ediciones 2021 and is author of the book La vida incierta / La vita incerta (2022). She is currently part of the editorial staff of Samuele Editore's Laboratori Poesia in the translation section and of the international poetry workshop Helecho Poetico. She is founder of the Cultural Association “Formarti”, whose mission is to disseminate poetry in Spanish, English and Italian, as well as editor-in-chief of the translation section L'arte del quasi in Laboratori Poesia and translator for Ediciones Formarti.
