Summary
Francisca Paz Rojas arrived in Italy at the age of eighteen. Since her arrival, she studied theatre, in Pontedera and then in Bologna, the city where she graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature and where she currently lives. Rojas recounts her experience as a bilingual poet, in Spanish and Italian, and how her relationship with each language shapes her writing, which has resulted in, among other things, the two volumes entitled Arsenale (2009) and Del non sapere (2023). Rojas participated in Mia Lecomte's "Compagnia delle Poete" (Company of Poets) and reflects on this experience alongside other foreign women and artists. Finally, she recounts her adolescence in Pinochet's Chile, her relationship with memory and how this is experienced in her verses.

Presentation of Francisca Paz Rojas
Francisca Paz Rojas was born in Santiago de Chile in 1974, during the Pinochet dictatorship. At the age of 18, she moved to Italy, where she still lives and dedicates herself to theatre, poetry, foreign literature and the translation from Spanish of various texts by Chilean authors. She is part of the Compagnia delle Poete founded by Mia Lecomte and is one of the authors in the BASILI&LIMM database founded by Armando Gnisci. Her poems have been published in various magazines, collective volumes and anthologies and later collected in two volumes: Arsenale (2009) and Del non sapere (2023). She writes both in her native language and in Italian. Some of the most interesting aspects in her work are a certain metapoetic tendency and the presence of the themes of blocked memory and repression.
