Diana Paola Agámez Pájaro was born in Venezuela in 1979. She graduated at the Faculty of Linguistics and Literature of the University of Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) and holds a Master's degree in Intercultural Education from UNED (Spain). She participates in several festivals with literary publications in Colombia and Venezuela. In 2016 she published the poetry collection El tiempo me deslíe como un caramelo and in 2021 she published the Spanish translation of the book Quello che stavamo cercando by Alessandro Baricco for Anagrama. She has lived in Rome since 2009 where she works as an intercultural mediator and teacher of Spanish and Italian (L2). Since 2017, she has participated as a teacher in the Spanish course of the Fe y alegría association in the Rebibbia prison. With her short story Il mio corpo: un posto felice she won the First Prize of the 17th edition of the National Literary Competition “Lingua Madre”. In 2022, together with photographer and friend Luisa Machacon, she presented the literary and photographic project WE CARE, which was exhibited in November 2023 in Lecce.
